23rd Annual Zucchini Race is Coming September 13th, at the Farmers’ Market. Registration 10-11 a.m. and Races begin at Noon. It’s time for you to design your wildest and fastest zucchini racer to be the winner in our 23rd annual extravaganza, no-holds barred, Zucchini Race. This event is open to both kids and adults and group zukes are welcome.
The year’s race is sponsored by American Marine Bank, B.I. Chamber of Commerce, Cris Ugles of Building Inspection Services, Bainbridge Island Vineyards, BPA.

Not So-Official Rules:
Body by Zucchini (other squash OK but NO CUKES!)
The wheel axles should run through the body of the zuke.
Gravity powered only-no gas, diesel, biodiesel,electric,battery, bug or other-wise powered zucchinis allowed.
Prizes awarded for speed, actually making it across the finish line, originality of design and other surprise categories!
Contestants may not eat or otherwise damage competitor’s racers.
Race Committee reserves the right to arbitrarily add or change rules at any time!
