Bainbridge Island Farms - Produce, Fresh Salsa

Karen Selvar and Diane Wierzbicki

Gerard & Jo Ann Bentryn, Owners

Established in 1977, by Gerard & Jo Ann Bentryn, Bainbridge Island Vineyards & Winery was the Island's first! Wines are 100% estate grown from a small family farm and sold only at the Winery, local wine shops, select restaurants and the Bainbridge Island Farmers' Market.

Pinot Noir

An elegant burgundy grown on Puget Sound soil! With layers of plum and black-cherry, it goes perfectly with grilled salmon or loin lamb chops with a pomegranate sauce!

Pinot Gris

Rich and supple with wonderful fragrance of melon and pears, this wine's clean, bone-dry finish complements grilled prawns or curried chicken.

Madeleine Angevine

A light-bodied, floral, dry white wine with a refreshingly crisp finish. Perfect with half-shell oysters, halibut or crab.

Spicy like Gewurtztraminer, but not too sweet. Pair with blackened snapper or a ginger-chicken stir-fry.

Ferryboat White

A medium-sweet, crisp, low-alcohol wine perfect for zesty Greek garlic chicken or just an old-fashioned afternoon picnic.

Late Harvest Siegerrebe

A luscious, rare , botrytis-affected dessert wine that is spicy-sweet and extremely fragrant. Delightful with Gorgonzola and walnut stuffed pears.

Strawberry Wine

A pure, natural strawberry wine, meant to be enjoyed for the holidays! To sip and recall the best days of summer...

Raspberry Wine

Fresh Island-grown raspberries give this wine its intense fruit flavor. Serve with chocolate or cheesecake, or as a sorbet with lamb.

Farmer, Christine Tressel and Massage Therapist, Andrzej Babij

Leapfrog Farm has salad mix in 4 varieties to suit all tastes. Regular, (the "everything bag"), spicy, not for the tender tongued, with fennel, and mild, (nothing too sharp or spicy).

Check out the Leapfrog Farm spinach, lovely arugula, spring yum, (like raab, but so sweet and juicy), stir fry mix, (always a great deal at $5 for approximately 3/4 lb), along with bunched greens, baby beet greens and chard, bouquets for Mom, or others! Also, tomato plants for early hoop house growers, or just eager sorts.
Massage from Andrzej is available Saturdays, or through gift certificates. Chair or table, relaxation or treatment, it's always a treat.

PERENNIAL VINTNERS - Bainbridge Island Vineyard & Wines

Mike Lempiere, Owner

Perennial Vintners began in 1997, when Mike Lempiere, decided to try making wine. Mike continued to make wine, as a hobbyist, through 2002 and garnered many successes, including several awards in the Puyallup Fair amateur competitions.

Mike soon came to understand that 95% of wine making is truly done in the vineyard, and that making his own wines was not enough -- it was necessary to live upon and manage the vineyard for the dream to be complete.

In 2003 Mike and family moved to Bainbridge Island and began planting the vineyard. In 2005, Perennial Vintners became a bonded commercial vineyard and winery! The first commercial vintage was released in March 2007.

Perennial Vintners specializes in the delicate wines from the maritime-influenced cool climate viticulture of the Puget Sound AVA; we've pioneered the establishment of an under-appreciated grape named Melon de Bourgogne here in Seattle, Washington.

You can find Perennial Vintners wines at the Bainbridge Island Farmers' Market every Saturday 9 am - 1 pm.

Sweetlife Farm - Eggs, Produce, Honey, Crafts & Bath & Body Products

Sweetlife Farm is a cottage business, and a lifestyle, grown out of our passions. We do it ourselves. Make stuff "from scratch." Live simply. Play with food. Eat well. Growing pesticide free food for our table and growing or sourcing natural ingredients for the products we sell are some of the ways we continually seek to incorporate “green” principles in our lives and products. We like sharing the fruits of our labors of love and ideas with others about “walking the talk” of sustainability and about the good life made of living well and fully.

Quality is the focus of the individual ingredients that go into everything we make in our on-site commercial kitchen, whether it is a bar of soap or a jar of jam made with our own fruit.  In this time of ready-made-fast food-prepackaged consumerism, the labor--and the joy--comes from growing many of the ingredients, preserving them for later use and carefully sourcing the ones we don't. At Sweetlife Farm, the care starts at ground level, with the dirt.
